1. Introduction:

Welcome to Animaat.
Animaat LLC (referred to as “the Platform”) provides technologies and services designed to help animal lovers connect, build communities, and grow businesses. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Animaat and our related products, features, apps, services, technologies, and software (collectively, the “Services”), except where we expressly state that separate terms apply. By accessing or using our Services, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with us. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

2. Our Commitment to You:

Animaat offers its Services for private, non-commercial use, and we don’t charge you for accessing Animaat unless stated otherwise. We prioritize your privacy and do not sell your personal data to advertisers. We also do not share information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address, or other contact information) with advertisers without your explicit permission.

3. Your Privacy:

Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect and use your personal data to provide the Services described in these Terms. You have control over your privacy settings, which you can review and adjust at any time in the settings section of Animaat.

4. Your Agreement with Us:

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Animaat. By using our Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. We encourage you to read them carefully to understand your rights and obligations when using the Platform.

5. Your Animaat Account:

To access our Services, you need to create an account. When doing so, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. It’s essential that you maintain and promptly update your account details and any other information you provide to ensure it remains current and complete.

Keep your account password confidential and do not share it with anyone. You agree that you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Don’t give access or transfer your account to others (without our permission).

Your content will be visible to anyone on the Platform and may be accessed or shared by your friends, followers, and third parties, such as search engines and news sites. You can change your account privacy settings through the settings section in the application, in which case, you can limit your content visibility.

If you decide to share guardianship of your pet’s profile with other users, such as a co-parent or family member, a copy of the pet profile will be added to their account. Any updates or actions taken will automatically reflect on the pet profile in all connected guardians’ accounts. By accepting these Terms of Use, you agree to this process. Should you choose to remove a guardian, the profile sync will stop, but the existing pet data and profile itself will remain unchanged in the other guardian’s account.

6. Your Commitment to Us:

To help us achieve our mission, we offer our services. In return, we ask that you make the following commitments:

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your country, to use Animaat.
  • You must not be barred from receiving any part of our services under applicable laws.
  • Your account must not have been previously disabled by us for violating any laws or our policies.
  • You must not be a convicted sex offender.
  • You must not be a convicted animal abuser or participate in any crimes related to animal cruelty or neglect.
  • You must not be part of organized animal abuse groups such as dogfighting and cockfighting.
  • You must not promote, share, or encourage ritual mass killings of animals or campaigns advocating for or similar to such acts. For example, you must not be part of or encourage mass poisoning campaigns of stray animals.
  • You must not promote, share or encourage animal cruelty activities for entertainment purposes such as wild animals hunting or any other activity that may inflict harm on animals.
  • You must not use Animaat to share anything that violates our Community Guidelines, Terms of Use or our policies.
  • You must not use Animaat to share anything that is unlawful, discriminatory, fraudulent, misleading or assist someone else in using Animaat in such a way.
  • You must not use Animaat to share anything that you don’t own or have the rights to share.
  • You must not use Animaat to share anything that infringes or violates someone else’s rights, including their intellectual property rights (such as by infringing another’s copyright or trademark, or distributing or selling counterfeit or pirated goods), unless an exception or limitation applies under applicable law.
  • You must not upload viruses or malicious code, use the services to send spam, or engage in any actions that could disable, overburden, interfere with, or impair the proper functioning, integrity, or appearance of our services or systems.
  • You are prohibited from accessing or collecting data from our Platform using automated methods (without prior permission) or attempting to access data you are not authorized to view.
  • You must not proxy, request, or collect usernames or passwords for our Products or misappropriate access tokens.
  • The sale, licensing, or purchase of any data obtained from us, or our services is strictly prohibited, except as permitted in the Platform Terms.
  • Misuse of any reporting, flagging, dispute, or appeals channels is not allowed, including making fraudulent, duplicative, or baseless reports or appeals.

We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to content or information you share on the Platform that violates these Terms, policies or applicable law and may suspend or terminate your account for conduct that breaches these rules to protect our community, comply with legal obligations or address issues such as repeated violations of intellectual property rights.

If we remove content, you have shared due to a violation of the Community Guidelines, we will notify you and explain your options unless you have committed serious or repeated violations. Exceptions include situations where notifying you may expose us or others to legal liability, harm our user community, compromise the integrity or operation of our services, systems, or where we are legally prohibited from doing so.

To support our community, we encourage you to report content or behavior that you believe violates your rights (including intellectual property rights) or our Terms and Policies, where this feature is available in your jurisdiction.

We may also remove or restrict access to content, features, services, or information if we determine that such actions are necessary to prevent or mitigate misuse of our services or to avoid legal or regulatory consequences.

7. Permissions We Request from You:

In order to provide you with our services, we need you to grant us certain permissions.

7.1 Permission to Use the Content You Create and Share:

You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, for any content you create and share on Animaat, and any use of that content will be consistent with your privacy and application settings.

However, to provide our services, we need certain legal permissions from you, known as a “License,” to use the content you create and share. This is solely for the purpose of delivering and enhancing our services.

When you share, post, or upload content protected by intellectual property rights on or in connection with our platform or services, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content. For example, if you share a photo on Animaat, you give us permission to store, copy, and share it with others. This license will end when your content is deleted from our systems.

You can delete content that you share, post, or upload at any time. Additionally, all content associated with your personal account will be deleted if you delete your account. However, account deletion does not automatically remove content that you have posted, or content created collaboratively with or shared by other users and not deleted by them.

The deletion process will begin within 30 days and may take up to 90 days to delete content after we begin the account deletion process or receive a content deletion request. During this period, the content will no longer be visible to other users. After deletion, it may take an additional 90 days to remove the content from our backups and disaster recovery systems.

 

There are certain situations where content may not be deleted within 90 days:

  • If your content has been used by others in accordance with this license and they have not deleted it, this license will continue to apply until that content is deleted.
  • If deletion within 90 days is not possible due to technical limitations of our systems, we will complete the deletion as soon as technically feasible.
  • If immediate deletion would restrict our ability to:
    • Investigate or identify illegal activity or breaches of our Terms and Policies (e.g., to identify or investigate misuse of our services or systems).
    • Protect the safety, integrity, and security of our systems, services, employees, and users, and to defend ourselves.
    • Comply with legal obligations for the preservation of evidence, including data that Animaat needs to provide services or to comply with record-keeping obligations required by law.
    • Comply with a request from a judicial or administrative authority, law enforcement, or a government agency.

In these cases, content will be retained only as long as necessary for the specified purposes, with the duration varying on a case-by-case basis. The license will remain in effect until the content has been fully deleted.

7.2 Permission to Use Your Name, Profile Picture, and Activity Information:

You grant us permission to use your name, profile picture, and information about your activities on Animaat in connection with commercial content displayed across our Platform, without compensation to you.

7.3 Permission to Update Software:

By downloading or using our software, you authorize us to download and install updates to the software as they become available.

8. Restrictions on Using our Intellectual Property:

If you use content on our Platform that is protected by our intellectual property rights (such as images, designs, videos, or sounds provided by us that you incorporate into content you create or share on Animaat), we retain full ownership of that content (excluding your own).

You may only use our copyrights, trademarks, or similar marks as explicitly allowed by our Brand Guidelines or with our prior written consent. To modify, translate, create derivative works of, decompile, reverse-engineer our products or their components, or attempt to extract source code, you must obtain our written permission.

9. Our Services:

Our mission is to build a safe, diverse, and positive community for animal lovers. Together, we strive to make a global impact by raising awareness on animal welfare and preserving our planet’s ecosystem.

  • We connect you with like-minded individuals worldwide by tailoring your experience and offering tools like posts, moments, snips, and a personalized pet profile—ensuring that you and your pets get the best support and community.
  • We link you to impactful organizations and figures (including verified NGOs and ENGOs) that drive philanthropy, raise awareness, and actively promote animal welfare and cruelty free practices.
  • We bring together businesses that cater to all your needs in one place, from essential supplies and medical care to entertainment and unforgettable experiences for you and your pet.
  • We empower businesses to thrive within their target audience, helping small enterprises stand out and succeed in a community passionate about animal and environmental welfare.
  • We give you the freedom to express your love for animals safely and authentically within a positive community while maintaining zero tolerance for bullying or animal cruelty.
  • We relentlessly innovate and improve our platform, driven by research, to deliver an ever-better experience for our users.
  • We are committed to providing everything your pet deserves, all in one powerful, animal-centric platform.

10. Terms Update:

We are dedicated to continually enhancing our platform, services, and features. As part of this commitment, we may need to update our terms regularly to accurately reflect our practices, ensure safety and security, and comply with applicable laws. We will notify you and provide an opportunity to review the changes before they take effect unless immediate updates are required by law. By continuing to use our platform after the updated terms become effective, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you have the option to delete your account.

11. Account Termination or Suspension

We want Animaat to be a platform where you can safely and freely express yourself. To ensure this, we may suspend, terminate, or delete accounts that repeatedly violate our Terms, policies, or Community Guidelines. If we determine that a breach has occurred, whether of these terms, policies, guidelines, or for legal reasons, we may take these actions. When we do, we will inform you and provide options for review, unless doing so could expose us or others to legal risks, harm our community, interfere with the integrity or operation of our Platform, or if we are restricted due to technical limitations or legal prohibitions.

You can contact us to retrieve a disabled account if it was mistakenly disabled.

Liability Limits:

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Additionally, we do not guarantee that our services will operate without disruptions, delays, or imperfections.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not control or direct the actions or statements of others, and we are not responsible for their conduct, whether online or offline, or for any content they share, including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable material.

Furthermore, you agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost profits, revenues, information, or data, or for any consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive, or incidental damages related to these Terms, even if we were advised of the possibility. This includes situations where your content, information, or account is deleted.

12. Our Agreement and Disputes:

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Brand Guidelines, Copyright Policy and Music Guidelines, form our agreement with you. Any additional terms provided during your use of specific features will also apply.

We aim to establish clear guidelines to minimize or prevent disputes between you and us. However, if a dispute does occur, it’s important to understand in advance where it can be resolved, and which laws will govern.

You agree that any claims arising out of your use of our Platform must be resolved exclusively before the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (“CRCICA”). You submit to the applied arbitration rules of CRCICA, and the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt will govern these Terms and any related claims, without regard to conflict of law provisions. However, Animaat LLC. reserves the right to bring claims against you related to unauthorized use or interference with our product in the jurisdiction where you reside.

13. Additional Terms:

  • These Terms of Use constitute a binding agreement between you and Animaat LLC concerning the use of our Platform, overriding any prior agreements.
  • If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that portion will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. If it cannot be made enforceable, it will be severed, and the rest of the Terms will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver. Any waiver of these Terms must be in writing and signed by us.
  • You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our consent.
  • These Terms do not grant any third-party beneficiary rights. All of our rights and obligations under these Terms are freely assignable by us in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise.
  • We reserve the right to change your account username in certain situations (e.g., if another user claims the username and it is unrelated to your everyday name, impersonation, or violates intellectual Property Rights). We reserve the right to change your username or similar identifiers if we believe it is appropriate or necessary.
  • The Platform may include links to and from partner networks, advertisers, and affiliates. Please note that these external websites have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for them. Review their policies before submitting any information.
  • We value your feedback and suggestions about our products and services. However, we may use them without any restrictions or obligation to compensate you, and we are not required to keep them confidential.
  • All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by us.
